OKR's
OKRs (aka Objectives and Key Results) is a goal-setting framework that helps us align and track our objectives and outcomes. We’ve adopted this framework, for a number of reasons:
- It provides clarity and focus: OKRs ensure our team knows what needs to be achieved and this helps them focus their efforts on the most important tasks.
- Clear objectives motivate the team, by giving them a sense of purpose and direction.
- OKRs ensure alignment between individual goals and the broader organisational objectives, and when everyone in the organisation is working towards common goals, it fosters a sense of unity and collaboration.
- Our OKRs are typically visible to everyone in the organisation via our HR system, promoting transparency. This transparency fosters accountability as employees are aware of each other's goals and progress, encouraging them to support and hold each other accountable.
- OKRs provide a fair and objective way to evaluate performance. Since objectives are clearly defined and measurable, employees are evaluated based on their ability to achieve these objectives rather than subjective criteria.
This promotes inclusion and diversity by ensuring that everyone's contributions are valued and recognised. Our promotions are therefore based upon your skill development, as well as your deliverables against your OKRs.
